Notables

Deb Quaile is an accomplished writer and editor who enjoys creating new publications,
courses of study, events and programs, having over 20 years of mixed writing and editing skills. She has
completed five books of local Ontario history, and has written for publications such as The Rear View
Mirror, Sideroads, Victoria, Country Woman, Mosaic, The Guelph Mercury,
The Owen Sound Sun Times, and many others. She is also the former editor and GM of a weekly community newspaper.
Along with her writing skills, Deb has been a feature speaker for local historical societies; Canadian Federation of
University Women, Guelph chapter; Spring Miscellany; The Eden Mills Writers’ Festival; The L.M. Montgomery Society
of Ontario; Burlington Public Library, and an on-camera interviewee for L.M. Montgomery: Norval, a documentary
highlighting the Canadian author’s years in Norval, Ontario.
Deb is a Director of the Nasagiweya Historical Society, and a member of the Lucy Maud Montgomery Society of Ontario.
She is the sole proprietor of Wordbird Press, her writing and publishing company in Rockwood, Ontario.
